National Park De Hoge Veluwe
Welcome to Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe, the largest national park in the Netherlands! The purple moors, vast forests and sand drifts invite you to explore on foot or on the (free) white bicycles available in the park. Take a look at the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus and enjoy the works of art in the Kröller-Müller Museum with the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Keep your eyes open, you might just spot a wild boar, red deer or mouflon.
De Megapret
Megapret is the best family play park in the Achterhoek. In a rural setting you will find an indoor and outdoor play park for children from 0 to 12 years. Also for adults there is plenty to do.
Lochemse Bergroute
In the rolling countryside between Lochem and Barchem are the Lochemse Berg and Kale Berg. You can enjoy walking here with or without a dog. Follow the Lochemse Berg route and you will enjoy beautiful views in a landscape where sturdy pine and beech trees alternate.
Hellendoorn Adventure Park
Avonturenpark Hellendoorn is a great amusement park. There are more than 30 attractions and shows, including the stunt shows of the world-famous Sky Pirates. Come visit!

8 Castles Route
It is one of the most popular and perhaps the oldest bicycle route in the Netherlands. The 8 castles route exists since 1913 and takes you 34 kilometers along the impressive, medieval castles and mansions in the area. From Hackfort Castle to Vorden Castle, the only one in the list that you can also visit inside.
Burgers' Zoo
Feel the humid heat in the tropical rainforest and spot its inhabitants among the green leaves. Or discover the heat like in the Arizona desert and see vultures soaring high in the sky. Enchantingly beautiful is also Burgers' Ocean where colorful fish swim around visitors. Because Burgers' Zoo consists of several indoor habitats, it is also an ideal zoo for rainy days!
Climbing forest Ruurlo
Climbing and clambering in the beautiful woods of Ruurlo with your family, friends or relatives is possible at Klimbos Ruurlo.
Children's amusement park Julianatoren
Julianatoren is a wonderful amusement park for toddlers ages 2 to 10. Step into the cool roller coaster, creep in the haunted castle or participate in the fireman's game. Follow the Dino Tour and suddenly stand face to face with real dinosaurs!
Hof van Eckberge
A whole day of fun with the whole family at Hof van Eckberge! This family park located in Eibergen is as large as 25,000m² and has a zoo, an indoor playground as well as an outdoor playground. Young or old, weather or no weather, everyone experiences an unforgettable and pleasant day at Hof van Eckberge.
Zutphen
The historic city center of Zutphen has ten towers to which it owes its nickname Tower City. Walk over city walls and along city ramparts which, like the old streets, date back to the Middle Ages. Eye-catchers are the Walburgiskerk and the towers including the Drogenapstoren and the Kruittoren. Also take a look at the medieval Broederenkerk and De Librije, a library from 1561. Grab a terrace on the Groenmarkt or Houtmarkt.
De Heijkamp
A day out" becomes surprisingly enjoyable at De Heikamp. At this restaurant, on the edge of the beautiful Ruurlo woods and located next to the famous Doolhof Ruurlo, there is a lot to discover.
Dubbel Dutch Lochem
Dubbel Dutch in Lochem is the restaurant on the holiday park. Fun activities are also organised here on a regular basis. Play farm Dondertman
Hidden between the natural beauty of Espelo at the foot of Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park lies Children's Farm Dondertman. Known in the area for 25 years for a fun day out for young and old. Large animal kingdom, you'll feast your eyes! Visitors appreciate the large animal kingdom, the beautiful location and the typical Salland hospitality. The playground is clearly laid out and safe for children up to about 10 years old. A day out where you can feast your eyes because there are Scottish Highlanders, nadoes, alpacas, tortoises, wallabies, guinea pigs, chickens, horses, donkeys, birds and, of course, goats and sheep! And especially the latter can be petted in the meadow. The striking parrot Sammy monitors the terrace. Surely the most appreciated spot on this play farm is the cuddle house where children can stroke bunnies under supervision. Jump as high as a deer, or scramble as... The spacious playground has a variety of play elements and is known for hours of fun! A favourite is the challenging go-kart track and for the youngest there is a merry-go-round. The new "Natural climbing & scrambling course" offers more challenge for older children! And what if the weather is not so good? In the play basement, children can have fun with mega-blocks or clamber and slide in the play structure.
Enjoy every moment Dondertman has extensive catering facilities, an attractive restaurant and a beautiful shaded terrace where it is great to relax! The grounds offer plenty of seating so you can keep an eye on the children and enjoy a relaxing day out yourself!
Castle Vorden
In the middle of the forest and meadow landscape of the Achterhoek lies Castle Vorden. The castle dates back at least to 1315 and is one of the few castles that is still inhabited. Castle Vorden is also the best known castle along the 8 castles cycle route and the only one that you can visit. During an audio tour or guided tour, you can see various rooms of the castle with your own eyes. In the vicinity you will find even more walking and cycling routes, including the Pieterpad.

There are several biking and/or hiking routes to explore in the vicinity of EuroParcs De Achterhoek. Choose the most enjoyable one and get out into nature!
Wine trails and wine tasting Achterhoek
Vines thrive on the rolling hills of the Achterhoek. It is therefore one of the largest wine regions in the Netherlands. You can taste the wine at various wine farms. There are cycling routes that take you along different vineyards. You can choose from various wine routes in the vicinity of Doetinchem, Azewijn and Bronckhorst, such as the wine route Keppel-Zelhem-Doetinchem.
Borculo Fire Department Museum
In Borculo you will find the Fire Brigade Museum which houses a unique collection of fire engines, objects, photographs and other attributes.
Experience farm De Kleine Carrousel
De Kleine Carrousel petting zoo is a wonderful place to stroll around in the open air! Covering an area of almost 4 hectares, you'll be surprised at every turn: there's something new to discover everywhere you look!
